"Van Halen in my studio in the Jordaan on Sunday 7 May 1978. The day before they were in Paradiso. You could speak Dutch with Eddie and Alex and later that day they went to visit family in Nijmegen, the city where they lived before moving to the US in 1962. Their first performances in the Netherlands were a kind of coming home. While these photos were being taken, their first album had just been released and Eddie was on the cusp of becoming a legend." ~Govert de Roos (photographer)
