Love, love, love me some Sabbath! Grew up with them..played thier music in bands! Listening to this boot though,it’s clear that the VH machine was just crankin up while Sabbath was clearly winding down. Passing of the torch if there ever was

The Mighty Van Halen

So true. 78 was a great year for VH!

I like listening to the concerts in 1978 because Dave sang ALL the lyrics. In the later years, Dave kind of “paraphrased” the lyrics. I turned down an opportunity to see VH in Houston in ’78 because I was a huge Kiss fan. My brother went and he said if I had gone with him I would have forgotten all about Kiss. HUGE mistake not going to see a young VH. I regret it to this day!!

Sorry guys, I was at this show and VH did NOT support Sabbath for some reason at this gig only.
The support was a punk band called Tanz der Youth!
Therefore, it couldn’t have been recorded in Manchester

Thank you. Actually seems like Sabbath came back to Manchester just a few weeks later and played there again with Tanz Der Youth 6/14 and 6/15/78.

Yes, The Mighty Van Halen played with Sabbath on this night.
Blew my mind.
Love this bootleg, great memories
